London Travel Guide - $5 per 100 words

Hi! We’re looking for 2-3 experienced travel writers to work with on an ongoing basis. Essentially we have an unlimited amount of work once a relationship has developed over time. To start with, we need your help in completing the content required for our Travel Guide to London. So, our ideal freelancer is someone who can show that they have lived in London for at least a couple of months although ultimately, the quality of your written work is most important. Please see attached document for a more detailed brief. Polite notice: Applicants must have a flawless command of the English language. Freelancers with broken English must not apply since this will immediately place you on our companies black list. How we work Travel writers who can deliver quality, well written and factually correct content will become a valuable part of our outsourced team and so we’d like to think that you’ll be treated very well. To demonstrate this we will pay $5 per 100 words to those of you we work with. As more projects are forthcoming we will want to provide training (paid) for you to learn our internal systems to streamline workflow. However, for now we would just ask that the content is supplied in unformatted text in word. The quality and accuracy of the supplied content is far more important to us than turn around time. You’ll be given ample time to complete projects and timescales will be agreed upon on for each project. However, once these deadlines are agreed we expect you to keep to them. Obviously the content must be unique and we’ll ask you to sign something to that effect. Your content will be checked for originality and you’ll be pleased to hear SEO is not a concern for us so we won’t be asking you to mention “widget” five times every 200 words! It’s important to us that we can converse with you via Skype or iChat and so please only respond if you have a good, stable internet connection. This first project needs to written in British English although please don’t let that put you off responding since we’re happy to provide guidance on this and future projects will probably be American English in most cases. To be considered for this assignment we will be asking that you provide a sample of your work so that we may judge your abilities. This must be a 200 word summary on the British Museum and is outlined in the attached document. The overall requirement in this project is for approximately 15,000 words and so we will happily consider splitting the work up over more than 1 person. Since this project is fairly sizeable we’re happy to arrange staged payments throughout the project. Payments will always be made on time – as above, if you’re good, we will really value you!
