Hi, my name is Andrew. I am a highly experienced academic writer, proofreader and editor. Please feel free to ask any questions or request samples of my work. I am currently working on a children's book which I am happy to share with you. I am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders in the UK and I have particular skills in copy editing and typesetting articles ready for publication. I am currently copy editing two books ready for publication, along with producing the cover for these. What a fun project! I write children's books and started for the same reason; I created stories for my son and thought maybe I should share them with the world. I am actually in contact with a publishing company working on a series of books for a very similar age range. I would be happy to work on this project with you. I put in 4 days as an estimate but this could be very different from reality, depending on how involved you (or your daughter) would like to be. For projects like this, I usually find that they are very near and dear to someone's heart. I always read the book thoroughly and do my best to maintain the same voice as the original author. However, I do find that it is sometimes best to coordinate with the author at the beginning about possible directions to make sure they approve before too much time is spent writing. If this is the way we go, then it could take a little bit longer. I am flexible and happy to work on this whichever way you prefer! I look forward to discussing this more.
