I would like to have a fairly simple plugin written for the open source software CloudCompare. Cloud compare is a POINT CLOUD viewing and editing software. We need measurements from within the software that are extracted by comparing XYZ values form multiple points in the pointcloud. Today it is done very manually. We have a spreadsheet which requires individual POINTS to be selected in the cloud compare software to then be calculated later. We then simply read the x,y,z values from the point chosen and type them into a spreadsheet. THis is a time-suck process to manual read each xyz of the pooints... I would like to build a plugin that guides the user through the process and extracts the xyz values. The spreadhsheet could live inside the plugin would live inside the spreadsheet and perform the formulas, THEN export a simple CSV file of the results. Formatted in a specific CSV we have already made by the spreadsheet. Please look at the documentation for building a plugin in CloudCompare BEFORE responding to this post. ***IMPORTANT !!!
