Help us to create a new homepage for our Magento store

We need someone that wants to help us to improve our actual homepage and create a more attractive one. We aren't looking for someone that will change the overall template, but only the homepage. The website is [login to view URL] and actually we think that the homepage isn't so attractive and we need absolutely to improve it. - The freelance will provide the complete online setup of the homepage, using a cms page - Every text has to be an html one (we'll need to translate every strings using Magento and avoiding text as image) - A flash animation is welcome, but isn't necessary. We prefer a jquery one, because in this way is possible to setup an html text layer. - The freelance could create the page in the english version: we'll translate it in italian by ourself. In your bid, please explain in few words an hypotetical way to improve the homepage.
