Automate: Import and map multiple images from Google Drive to Google Doc table with one upload

A friend is attempting to automate his template creation process. Collecting his customer information has been solved with the Add-On "Doc Variables", however the most time consuming piece of this process is uploading photos one by one from Google Drive to a particular cell in a table that is placed on the template. Usually there are between 20-40 photos to upload to the table (it's in a table format so descriptions can go in the row below the photo). Looking for a way to do one upload with all photos to populate in their designated cells of the table with less manual effort. Attempted to use Doc Variables for images - while it maps the image to it's place in the table, it's still a single upload per cell. Link to Google Doc template: [login to view URL]
