write a haskell program to find the before element in the list

Hello! I have made it two ways: the simple one and the effective one, with comments. Do you have any restrictions on the solution, or any one will be good? If the char given is not in the string, both my solutions return Nothing?

HI, For this problem Not only I would deliver a Haskell Program which would work out of the box, I would also provide enough comments and guidance so that in future you would be able to write such a program by yourself. -Abhijit

I will have no problem completing this project. Its a simple program, using recursion, lists and sub lists.

I have already written and tested the function. My code looks clean. My price is the lowest for I am earning experience now.
