I'm a US-based editor/retoucher who has been using Photoshop professionally since its early versions and I've taught advanced Photoshop techniques. I'm also a photographer, which means I understand light, shadow, and color better than most editors, and that enables me to produce higher quality results. In addition, I have a degree in fine art, and studied life drawing, human anatomy, and the characteristics of the face that make it recognizable as a specific person. To be honest, I haven't done an age progression before, but I'm confident that I have the background knowledge and technical skills to pull it off. One thing that would help is to have access to source/reference images of the mother at the same age as the images of your daughter, and also at the target age you want to render. When I look at my own family album, I often need to do a double-take in order to be sure which pictures are my daughter and which are my wife at the same age. Another example is a pair of pictures of my mother and aunt in the same outfit, hair style, and pose. At first glance they look the same. Their eyes and nose are almost identical, but close examination shows that my mother's chin is a little more rounded and mouth a little wider. So, using a picture of the mother (or a sister) as a base might be a great starting point.
