You will be required to identify and assess how an organisation that operates on a global scale uses marketing and promotional activities to promote its products or services. As part of this analysis, you will need to compare and contrast these activities in both the domestic setting (Australia) vs. how they operate in one specific international market. You will need to consider factors such as cultural appropriateness and organisational requirements. Assessment Instructions What 1. a. You must select an organisation that operates globally. You will be focusing on the company Mcdonalds. 1. After selecting the company, you are to access the company’s marketing plan. (see question 2) 2. You will need to access 2 marketing plans from your chosen company. One domestic and the other international. You must provide an analysis of the client’s existing marketing and promotional activities in the two markets. Promotional objectives b. Product c. Price d. Place e. Promotion f. People (employees) g. Market segments h. Target markets i. Cultural appropriateness in line with organisational requirements 3. You must compare the differences and similarities of Australia and International markets including promotional objectives and cultural differences. You must provide evidence such as screenshots of actual marketing campaigns that can help to highlight the differences and similarities. After reviewing the above, consult with your group member to determine overall promotional objectives for the international and domestic market. 4. You must provide recommendations for future improvements in how the organisation promotes its products or services in an international market. As part of this recommendation identify available overseas media that could be used to promote your organisation’s products or services. 5. You must create a report using the report structure as outlined in the attached document 'report structure layout' with a word limit between 2,000 to 2,500 words.
