(iOS) App Developer/Programmer

Porterhouse Medical Ltd – Reading Exciting new standalone role in a growing SME Porterhouse is a successful medical communications agency whose clients increasingly require a digital element to their communications toolkit. Our offering in this area is growing substantially, and we are now looking for an in-house digital (iOS) developer to help service the demand. You will be the sole in-house resource for creating digital assets, primarily for iPad but also for iPhone, android smartphone, web and DVD, including the database and web service design necessary to support mobile app functionality. Specific skills are sought in the following: Xcode, Objective C, HTML5, CSS, javascript, JQuery, PHP, ASP.NET and ActionScript/Flash. Experience with Corona would be advantageous as would Adobe Premier or similar. Yours will be a key position within the agency and, while your skill set in-house will be unique, you will work closely with account managers, writers, editors and designers to achieve our client's goals. You will therefore need to be an effective communicator, and will be required to meet directly with clients to explain and understand project parameters, to participate in pitch meetings where appropriate, and to help manage freelance developers. You must be able to demonstrate experience in the above areas, ideally in an agency setting, and be comfortable developing apps without a technical support team around you.
