Amazon Servers Setup Expert needed

Here is the situation: Web and database (Microsoft SQL Server) servers are on Amazon. Code is written in php5 The code to DB connection is through odbc The problem is that it only allows 1 active record, so you can't run second query unless first query is closed. We need to find a solution to this, as it is working fine on production server. Note: We don't have access to production server This is not a programming job, it is server setup job.
