(1) I will setup a Rackspace / Linux / Ubuntu server and give you remote access. (2) You will need to install Ubuntu desktop and VNC. (3) You will need to guide me through the process of gaining remote access to the Ubuntu desktop using VNC. (4) You need to install 64 bit Python on the server (remember that I want 64 bit). (5) I need the following Python packages installed: numpy, scipy, nltk, argparse. (6) You also need to install something called NLTK-Trainer (this is a very simple process) (7) Either make a screencapture of this process or write down the steps that you have taken in a text file.

Hi, thanks for your invite. I have a few questions: 1.) The Ubuntu Desktop will be installed on a VM running on the Ubuntu Server that you are going to setup? 2.) Which version of Python? I am at your disposal for further questions. Regards, Daniel

Hi there, I can help you setup your ubuntu server along with the miscellaneous python packages. The bid is higher than usual since you ask for part 7, i.e. documentation. Also, why not use textblob instead of ntlk? Cheers!

I've been using Linux/GNU distributions for years. My first was Crunchbang, a pre-packaged Debian distribution. I then experimented with Fedora for a while, through out my time in college. I now use straight Debian on my personal machine and Xubuntu, which is Ubuntu with the XFCE desktop environment, on my work machine. So I most definitely know Ubuntu. I even use a remote Free BSD server, which doesn't directly relate to what you want, but needless to say I love experimenting with different operating systems. This would not only be a cakewalk for me, but I would enjoy doing it. If you want Ubuntu set up the way you want it and some tech support to back you up for a few days, you got it right here. Please get back to me. - Dave

Hello, I've been a Linux/UNIX systems engineer for 16 years, and have set up a number of Linux systems in that time. I've been using Ubuntu for the last few years for production web and database servers. Setting up and installing the system should be straight forward. The only suggestion I would make is that if you haven't compared Rackspace's pricing to Google's Computer Engine (the Google Cloud), I'd definitely recommend doing that. I've been using the Compute Engine for the last 2 or 3 years and it's really great (fast, scaleable, flexible) and very affordable.
