Job Description: We are a relationship focused consulting company, offering a range of speaker programming services to institutions of higher education nationwide. Currently we are looking for individuals with sales, telemarketing, customer service, lead generation, or appointment setting experience to assist our company with expanding our market reach. The responsibilities will include making outbound phone calls promoting our services to a list of pre-qualified prospects in efforts to book speaking events and schedule appointments. We will provide a phone script, tracking spreadsheet, online calendar access, and a list of contacts with phone numbers of potential prospects to contact. The duration of this short-term project is 6 weeks, however there is potential for a long-term business relationship. Please note, this is a part-time, pay for performance commission based position with great earning potential. We will pay $100 per appointment correspondence that leads to a signed booked event contract. Skills and Qualifications: • Must have articulate, professional, English-American speaking, excellent phone skills • Previous outbound calling/telemarketing/customer service/lead generation/appointment setting experience preferred • Sales experience preferred • Must be confident on the phone • Outstanding rapport building skills • Passion for results, solid work ethic, and a winning attitude • Ability to work independently • Superb verbal communication skills • Must be proficient with basic Internet search, basic computer and typing skills • Strong organizational skills are required • Excellent listening skills/able to hear the needs of the customer • Able to handle rejection Work Area and System Requirements: • Computer with high speed Internet access • Telephone that can make outbound long distance calls (an unlimited phone plan is ideal) • Access to Microsoft Excel and Word • Email access for update correspondence • Quiet work area Hours: Your daily schedule is flexible, however you must be available to work Monday - Friday during daytime hours.
