Goal: A working sample Visual Studio 2015 Express Cordova project with push notifications for android device using Firebase Cloud Messaging. Please document all major steps. Example adding an entry to config.xml. NOTE: we will consider alternative push notification service provider. Required IDE: Visual Studio 2015 Express Update 3 Solution Required Cordova v5.1.1 Target Android Level 19 - 23 Required Plugins: cordova-plugin-camera v1.2.0 cordova-plugin-crosswalk-webview v1.2.0 cordova-plugin-device-orientation v1.0.1 cordova-plugin-dialogs v1.1.1 cordova-plugin-file v2.1.0 cordova-plugin-file-transfer v1.2.1 cordova-plugin-geolocation v1.0.1 cordova-plugin-inappbrowser v1.0.1 cordova-plugin-media-capture v1.0.1 cordova-plugin-statusbar v1.0.1 cordova-plugin-websql v0.0.9 cordova-plugin-whitelist v1.0.0 NOTE: You can add any additional plugins to get push notifications to work. If the new notification has conflicts with the existing plugins, please let us know and we will tell you if the conflicting plugin can be removed from the project requirement.
