I have read the document , and found that its wrong and simplied ....i am a person who use music and sound to change peoples life, behaviour in real time....which psychologists unfortunately fail to do ...I stopped domestic violence in my family with music and sound...let me tell you how.....my own sister married a narcissist, intitally he was caring, understanding, slowly became possesive, abusive...i researched on a subject for 6 years...on the topic "Why do Men CHeat" ....it took 6 years of my life, and at the end of my research..i found so many answers....which was beyond my expectations.....so...let me tell you how i stopped a narcissist with music and sound ..i made a audio drama , i took a very well known bengali song...very popular....romantic song...where the singer male says..."this night is ours....." i inserted a VO and Music there which saysa " no , night was only yours...not mine..as you never understood the meaning of consent...it was your night..only yours.."....then the song continues...and it says .." i am existing cause you are exisiting...." then i again inserted a VO and music eerie....which says..." no you never ever took care of my existence...you beat me , humiliated me whenever you wanted...."....etc etc...and this was a audio drama in "Bengali " language which i make people to share each other , by people i mean people close to the narcissist,freelancer restricts me to 1500 words..so message me ..will discuss

Musician with an interest in psychology here, The way I choose a music genre or a specific song can be either conscious or unconscious. in most cases when I'm choosing consciously I try to pick genres that match the state which I want to be in, not necessarily the state I'm currently in. on the other hand when choosing unconsciously, I tend to gravitative to genres that match my emotional state. there are exceptions however, sometimes I might be feeling sadness but I gravitate towards angry/aggressive music consciously or unconsciously because I don't want to feel the sadness specifically and I invoke anger using music to overwhelm the sadness so to speak. the influence of the music genre on me individually depends on my mental and emotional state at the time, same with a song, listening to the same song on 2 different occasions will evoke different thoughts and emotions each time, altho in most cases they fall under general categories. Some examples of what I associate with certain genres: Rock/Metal: Confidence, Will Power, Motivation Ambient: Introspection, Meditation, Relaxation Rap/Trap: Communication, Storytelling, Language, Rhythm hope this helps

I'm a music producer and as such, I work directly on the "manipulation" of these emotions, when we create a song from scratch, everything is thought, for example: What emotion do I want to bring from this chord progression?. Each progression brings a different feeling. A minor scale tends to bring something more tense, sadder, whereas major scales are known to bring a happier feeling to the listener.

It is entirely based upon the persons musical preferance on what genre they like but whatever it maybe the person will go for the song which conveys the same amount of energy as what they are feeling during that day and it can change based on situations during each day. There is something within every genre for a person and its the artists job to create a specific amount of emotion within their music in order to draw in the person by their feelings because essentially you will be accomodating them or fuelling. By hearing in an audiable form the emotion you are feeling helps one better cope with what is inside because either the lyrics are speaking to what is going on subconsciously or the melody and harmonies are so touching that they resonate with you on a level that can male you remember good times or help deal with the painful ones.
