We need converting mmslib and jwap java opensource libraries to J2ME compatible libraries.
We will provide J2ME profile API and compiler later. But basically it is subset of MIDP 2.0 profile without UI and some messaging libraries.
See attached mmslib and jwap source code. I used [login to view URL] example, which uses Nokia library to pack MMS and then JWAP to push it to GSM provider but there are also other sender classes not based on Nokia library and maybe a lot of classes can be left out.
So the main task comes down to rebuilding the source code of mmslib and jwap to J2ME compatible classes.
I think lots of things can be deleted there, like log4j, xml stuff, junit and maybe some other. Further those classes do not really use any special features except couple of classes which need to be remade (like StringTokenizer which is not available under J2ME etc.).
I can provide you with WTK from the device so will be able to see what classes can be used and compile.
Let me know what do you think about this.
