Html Img Tag to call image with a number

I need the html code to call an image in a URL, so that the code associated with an image would not change. Something like this: <img src="[login to view URL];/> The issue is how to call the image so I can send an email and have the image appear in the mail with a sequential number which will not change if the person opens the mail again.
