I want to discuss this project in greater detail over the phone with the prospective IT person. I need a database set up on a server. I need to be able to update the lists from excel to the database. As the data will be ever changing and expanding. I also have some categories I need defined in the program. As to how the data can be broken up by matching data in the separate excel sheets that are on the server. I apologize for the vague response. Before payment the contractor will be asked to sign our company NDA.

Hello, I have 6+ years of experience with Linux, MySQL. I also do scripting and PHP. Like you said there's not a lot of details in your description but if we talk about it we can find a solution. Maybe there's a better approach than doing export from Excel and import in MySQL. Currently I'm full time employee in Red Hat (Europe) but with the time zone difference I can do projects with US after working hours. Let me know if you want to discuss it.
