I would like to have a WordPress plugin created that adds an exit popup on posts pages. ? This should be a light box style popup. ? This plugin would require a new panel to be added to the post? administration? page. ? If adding a panel is a great deal of extra work we could also use custom fields instead. ? Please let me know which version you would create please. ? That panel would allow the user to add/change the following options:
1) Checkbox to display popup in this post yes or no. ? Obviously if no then no popup would display for this post.
2) URL of the page that will be displayed in the exit popup.
3) Width of the popup window.
4) Height of the popup window.
5) Number of days the cookie should be saved. ? The exit popup should only display once per user based on this cookie. ? So if this value is set to 5 then the exit popup would display every 5 days for a given user.
PLEASE NOTE! Please only bid on this project if you have experience coding and building WordPress plugins or are 100%? certain? you can create this kind of plugin.
Thank you for considering my project. ? Have a great one.
## Deliverables
Here are a few details about the popup itself. ? I would like the exit popup to popup when the users mouse leaves the browser page display area. ? Here is an example of exactly how and when it should popup.
However I don't like the style or look of that light box. It uses a gif image with transparent areas to 'whiteout' the background. ? It also does not have the right kind of border or top bar.
I would rather the lightbox look more like the one found at:
If you scroll down the page you will see a link that pops the lightbox. ? It grays out the background page. ? It also has a nice top bar that contains the 'close or Esc Key' link to close the popup. ? It also has an attractive border.
So just to be clear it should function like the first website and look like the second. ? If this is unclear in anyway please feel free to ask for more information.
