Hi, this job is with an immediate priority.
We have clicks/users coming in from our traffic sources, who sends us referral traffic to our sites. Now to analyze this traffic we are trying to implement a 3rd party, which will process all the clicks at the time they reach our sites to give use insights into our traffic. Something similar to Google Analytics.
There are 3 parts to this, as far as I can see it.
1- Traffic Source: We run advertising campaigns to drive traffic with multiple traffic vendors. For simplicity, lets stick to only outbrain here. Outbrain on our behalf is sourcing traffic from multiple other sources, each of these sources have a subid. This subid is very important to black/white list the bad performing sources.
At the end of the day we need to go back to our traffic provider and share the list of subids that are not good and good.
Traffic providers pass this subid to us via macros. Each traffic vendor has a unique macro. Here are two examples of these macros: {subid} {tsid}
Each advertising campaign has a landing URL with a UTM appended to it. When a campaign delivers a click/user to our site, something similar to this is executed at the advertiser's end:
[login to view URL] AF9CA005-{tsid}&utm_medium=CPC&utm_campaign=example%20CA
Notice the {tsid} in the link above.
2. Our Wordpress Site: On our site we have a pixel in place that reads the values passed by the advertiser's macro and associated it with the user/click.
Here is an example of a pixel from Google Analytics, which is place on our site:
<script>
(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=[login to view URL](o),
m=[login to view URL](o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;[login to view URL](a,m)
})(window,document,'script','//[login to view URL]','ga');
ga('create', 'UA-52570634-1', 'auto');
ga('send', 'pageview');
</script>
We have no problem in tracking subids on google analytics, its working perfectly fine. Problem is with integrating IAS, which is another click tracking company, serving a different purpose all together. Like google has given us a pixel to place on our site, we have a pixel from IAS as-well. Shared below.
<script type="text/javascript"src="[login to view URL][MACRO]&campId=[MACRO]&pubId=[MACRO]&chanId=[MACRO]&placementId=[MACRO]"></script>
Now in place of [Macro], we are supposed to put some macro that is able to read the value generated by the macro {tsid} and pass it in the pixel from IAS.
Pixel from google is able to do it automatically, but IAS is not able to do it.
We need help from someone who could help us figure out a solution and is able to implement it.
As I mentioned in the start, we are running on a short deadline, so your early bids will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
