Ok i need a program that will help me keep track of my tax, income, gst and generate reports
The system must allow me to import a csv file, then code each transaction row into categories.
This will allow me to tell how much i spent at the end of the year of different expenses, how much i paid in wages, how much i made in contract income etc.
I will download the csv file from my bank, then i need to be able to upload it to the webpage/program and give each row a reference code eg: 1001 (Wages)
I need a module in the cms to add different codes "Chart of Accounts", each code will also have variables as seen below
VARIABLES: (note GST = GOOD & SERVICES TAX)
1) Tax Free Expense = EXPENSE WITH NO GST
2) Taxable Expense = EXPENSE WITH GST ($amount divide 11) eg: -$110 / $11 = $10 GST
3) Taxable Sales = CREDIT INCLUDES 10% GST
4) Tax Free Sales = CREDIT with NO GST
Each month i need to be able to calculate the total: SALES, TOTAL GST PAYABLE
The page should have shortcuts to click on the code box and select a code for the transaction.
I have attached a screen shot of the program i currently use so you can see the rows columns, 1 row per transaction.
If i select a code for a transaction that is (2) TAXABLE EXPENSE then the GST amount will show in the "GST Amount" Column (always 10% of the total so you will need to divide the total transaction amount by 11 )
So step 1 will be to create the CMS, then create an area where i can add a reference code. The reference code will be by: Name; Code #; GST: Y/N; Expense; Sales
The end report will allow me to calculate transaction for a period eg: 01/10/2012 - 31/12/2012
The results will show a list of my codes with their 'Number' & 'Name' and the 'total' of the transactions i listed under that codem, Then show the next code and so on and so on. What we end up with is a balance sheet/Quarterly figures that show how much we made in SALES, how much we spent in EXPENSES. & how much GST we collected in out sales, & how much we paid in GST on out Expenses
You must write TAXMAN in you bid or it will be ignored. It would be advantagous if you have knowledge in Australian Taxation and BAS / GST
The CMS must be user friendly. I will provide a copy of the code #'s and their variables/category to the successful bidder
