Modify existing VB.net app to connect it to SQL Database

We have an existing internal VB.net application which uses folders and text files for its database. Because of this it has become very slow. We need someone to create a SQL database with Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008 and modify the application code so all calls to the text file database we have setup work into the new SQL database. The application is a simple order management system for a printing business, which stores all the details about orders that have been finished, and current orders we are working on. It would not need more than a few tables. No application design or frontend development is needed, we simply need the database created and coded into the existing forms. We will supply the VB.net 2010 project, along with our current text file database folders for testing once the project is awarded. Please post any questions, and relevant experience.
