I have an old bbs program that was written for DOS. I would like a clone made of it that runs on Windows. Instead of being dial up based, I'd like it to be telnet based, like a MUD or MUSH.
It would need to support ansi. I do not care if the prompts are hard coded, that would be OK. There is also an option for 'Library'. This is not needed.
I'll attach a copy of the program to be cloned, open a dos prompt, unzip it, run the setup batch file (choose social mode, I need this side cloned) and then execute "dlx". Answer YES to the first question and it will exit, restart it again this time answering no to all the questions and it should run in local mode for you to view.
Please read the promps file, it is a multi user system, with private messages etc.
I'd like it in C#.
It must run with most telnet clients, ie: windows telnet, unix telnet, cnet, etc.
I would also prefer things like user info, match data, database recs, stored in an MYSQL db. Open to ideas on other types of db's.
I can setup a telnet version I have for testing if you need to see muli-user interaction.
