This relatively simple project involves creating a password protected page for an existing site. The Web site design is already done. Users should fill out a form and get a username and password to log into a members area. There is a free members area and a paid subscription members area. The site uses MYSQL database.
Additional comments:
The design of pages is not necessary, just the script/function of pointing to the page to be logged in or a login failure page. The function of paid subsciptions is not necessary as we use Paypal shopping cart for payment. The project does involve the user filling out a form that automatically creates their user name and password chosen by them. This form can be inserted on an existing page. An existing autoresponder account with Aweber may be employed.
Summary:
1.A form for free users to sign up will be inserted on an existing page. This form should write the data to a database that is then used on the login page.
2. A login page already designed except for login function in the form will take these users to an existing page that should restrict access to users with password.
[login to view URL] users will be manually sent a link to a form where they can create their password and login to a different page that is already designed.
So this involves creating 2 forms for creating user names and password that should be written to a database. That database will be used to create the function of login user to restrict access to another page.
Altough that is all for now, we anticipate many more projects in the near future. Thanks.
