screen grab>OCR or image comparison>then output to php form

So i have been trying to learn python over the past few months, but as I've never done programming I'm having trouble completing this project. I need to be able to take a fixed screenshot of a certain dimension of my screen, keep this screenshot in memory(as i need it to be as fast as possible), perform OCR on this, or even just do an rough image comparison, as i will only need to identify uppercase A-Z, the size of these letters will be fixed, and these letter positions will be fixed, then pass this data to some PHP software that i have. This would have to be looped, and run constantly, and to send any updates to this PHP software I know this is a little vague, but if i choose you for this project, i will give full details Speed of the software is also pretty important I have tried pytesser with the tesseract engine, but the output i get is very messy I have tried [login to view URL] module For eg. i have tried this bit of code: [login to view URL] It doesnt work on the images i want. I have looked into a few algorithms but they get very confusing. Thats about all for now. Any questions let me know.
