Web Server Development and Programming

We are seeking an experienced development group to design and build three types of web servers that will interface with to our backend systems. The group will work with our developers to develop this front-end design. The three web servers are: Community Website – we would like this to be based on Drupal and provide the following functionality: • User Registration • Forums • Collaborative Books (based on wikis) • Redirecting Users to Workspace servers, where the Workspace server is chosen on the basis of lowest latency (between the User’s Browser and the Workspace) and the lowest load. Workspace – This will be a special-purpose website that will interface to applications we are developing. There will be multiple Workspaces. It will have the following functionality: • Authenticate the User • Provide interfaces to applications we are developing Administration Server – A standalone server that will be used to configure and control different subsystems. It will allow an Administrator to: • Manage Website Users • Control other servers we are building The development group must have experience in user interface design as well as website coding. You will work with out develompent group to incorporate their APIs into the websites. We would like the development group to help us choose a suitable framework and technology. Currently, we think the Website should use the Drupal framework so it would be desirable for the development group to have experience with Drupal. We think that the Workspace and Administrator Server should be built using Python, Ruby or TCL. Please respond with examples of your previous work and experience. We will provide more information about the requirements as well as example designs to groups or individuals that have the required experience.
