Hello there! My name is Mubashir and I am a highly skilled Python developer with experience in core Python programming, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails and more. I have the expertise necessary to develop a Wikipedia scraper that generates a new Rails app that contains only nee DB needed to create a page with a form that accepts a Wikipedia link and performs some basic validation to make sure it's indeed a Wikipedia article URL. Once the contents of the Wikipedia link have been scraped, I can use Beautifulsoup to extract information about the article such as its title and languages available. This data can then be stored in a suitable data structure so that it is easily accessible for use on the page without having to resort to manually entering it into the system.

Hi, This sounds fairly simple, I'd plan to a library called mechanised that's fairly good at scrapping very easy to use or Nokogiri which ships with rails but has a slightly more complicated API, I have experience scrapping web page, back at Chronycle I wrote their scrapper which was scrapping 2 million tweets a day. I'd ship it an automated deploy using whatever CI you are using, preferably GitHub actions. but it could be something else I've built many deploy pipeline for rails over the past 10 years. That should also include a couple of basic tests to ensure that functionality does not break with further updates. The only gotchas I'd be aware of are that some parts of the page might be constructed in javascript, hence not accessible to normal web scrapper, in this case that would make the scrapping a bit harder but there are javascript based solutions available. But I'm confident most of it can be done very easily with a super simple parse as wikipedia needs to be easily indexable by search engine hence render the full page in HTML without javascript DOM manipulation or maybe very minor for none important data. What about the authentication? is something that's an internal tool or just publicly available.

Hello, I'm excited to propose a project that involves creating a dynamic Wikipedia scraper using Rails. This application will be designed to efficiently extract and showcase key information from articles. The main features of this Wikipedia scraper will encompass retrieving the article's title along with the list of available languages in which the article is available. One remarkable aspect of this project is that it won't necessitate a database. Instead, the extracted data will be meticulously structured and managed directly within the application's code. This approach not only simplifies the development process but also enhances the overall performance and responsiveness of the scraper. Imagine having the ability to swiftly and accurately gather vital details from Wikipedia articles without the complexity of managing a database. This project is an excellent opportunity to showcase the power of Rails in creating streamlined and efficient applications. I'm genuinely looking forward to embarking on this journey to build the Wikipedia scraper together. Feel free to share your thoughts, requirements, and any specific functionalities you'd like to incorporate. Let's collaborate to bring this innovative scraper to life!
