As you would see in the screenshot attached, the standard Mac fonts (Geeza, Bayan etc..) work fine, but my custom font does not. The only issue is that characters do NOT join/connect as required. I read somewhere that this is because my custom fonts are not unicode or something. All you have to do is get my custom fonts working as other standard fonts in Mac.
