hello everyone, I'm not quite sure if anything can be done to solve our problem, but thought this might be a good place to start. We have a database of 2K members. We use mailchimp to collect members and send emails. Our competitors have joined our mailing list and are sabotaging our business by leaking sensitive information contained within these emails. It's possible that our competitors have signed up using false details to gain access and we need help identifying them. We have emails from them so we have their IP addresses if they can be used somehow to cross reference things with Mailchimp. Alternatively, if there is a way of setting some kind of trap in a forthcoming email to help identify the culprits and remove them that would be equally helpful. If anyone has any ideas here, we would welcome the help. Budget up for discussion dependent upon work involved. Thank you.

I may have a solution to your problem. Do you have a support web, where your clients from the mailing list can log in? If so, you should send an email that they need to log in there and "submit new security policy" (just made it up). You can give them time limit for a few days or a week. The users who do not submit it in specified period would be removed from mailing list automatically. That should do the trick. I don't think that checking access through IP would be good solution (attackers could use proxies etc.)
