230852 vBulletin Replacement for site

We are looking for a programmer to produce a replacement for the vBulletin code that currently powers our website. The website is [login to view URL] Currently the message boards run on the vBulletin software and the rest of the site also runs on the software. We have a number of plugins and additional scripts that hook into the vB database. We include the vB [login to view URL] file within our custom scripts to enable us to use the vB code. NOW we want to replace the vB software with our own custom code. The reasons for this are: -- to allow the site to do EXACTLY what we want. -- to make it simpler and easy for our young members to use. -- to reduce the overhead (vB does a lot of stuff we don't need - especially on non-message board pages). -- to allow us to expand the site easily and quickly. CODE MUST BE: -- clean and lightweight - optimised for speed/resources -- secure -- commented -- PHP 4 and 5 compatible (we currently run PHP 4.4.4) THERE WILL NOT BE MUCH HTML/CSS WORK - THE SYSTEM WILL USE ALL OF OUR EXISTING VBULLETIN TEMPLATES. We are looking for a programmer that can provide code that will "slot in" in place of the current vB code. We will provide you with a complete "test" (non-live) version of the site and FTP access that you can use for your development. We will be available most hours on instant messenger or email for any questions you have. We have attached a specification with details of the main parts of the site that need to be coded. The parts of the site that aren't mentioned are quite simple and should easily work with your updated code. When bidding please provide your bid for producing the code base specified. Please ALSO give us your hourly rate for modifications BEYOND this. There will definitely be extra work we would like doing once this project is completed (new features, etc).
