Since 1990, I have been working as a primary school teacher. Up until 3 years ago, this was full time. My brother-in-law, who owns his own B2B telemarketing company, offered me a part time job. After careful consideration, I took him up on his offer and haven't looked back. I feel that the skills I have learnt through my teaching have served me well in my telemarketing work. I am able to talk at ease with others and I feel that the genuine enthusiasm I have for my work comes through in the conversations I have with others. I have used a variety of databases, including Sage and Open CRM and have worked on a variety of campaigns. This has included a water company, in which I introduced farmers to a gravity operated pump. In this campaign I managed to provide the company with a year of work in two months work. I have worked for a large insurance broker and most recently, a packaging company. In February this year, I managed to hit the company's appointment target for the year, making me their most successful appointment maker. I am still working for my brother-in-law and continue to work in school. I still have spare time to fill, and can't think of a better way of spending it than calling for others and create successes for both them and me.
