46892 As-Needed System Admin

Once again, we are looking for someone on an AS NEEDED basis, to perform necessary and emergency system administration on our Linux-based servers. The previous person we hired (from Scriptlance)is no longer working for us. Experience Mandatory, and Proof Required. We will require references from previous customers. This position is on-going. We use CPanel/WHM on all servers. You must be familiar with SSH and be VERY Linux and Apache knowledgeable. We provide mirrors for many popular sites, so you must be familiar with rsync & cron jobs, and keep the mirrors running smoothly, as well as adding additional mirrors as required. We need an occasional *simple* script modification on php-based sites, so you must know PHP. CGI/Perl knowledge a Plus, although we rarely run into these anymore. There are no set hours or time frames, you just must be available to be reached during USA business hours if we run into an emergency server problem. We can either pay you PER PROJECT (in which case - we would pay between $10-20 based on complexity) OR: We can pay you a monthly fee (as in $35-$55) for a set amount of hours (3-5) We are not paying $100-300 per month for server administration, simply because we are able to take care of MOST situations as they arise. As we stated above, this is Part-time, and AS-Needed Only. We WILL need you, however, so Please BID! We use all four popular Messenger programs, and would require that you be able to communicate via one of them, as well as through email. Please note: If we choose you for this project, we will ask that you please give us ample notice (2 weeks or more) before you decide to quit, so we have time to find a replacement.
