Hello,
I am a domain Reseller offering a domain monitoring service. The current system relies on the Whois Search for Domain Availability Checks. To avoid the likelihood of blacklisting by our Provider, I have been told to format requests as a text string of the Domain Name followed by a '\r\n' as per a standard WHOIS request. The service will then respond with either the string 'Available' or 'Not Available' depending upon whether or not the domain is available for registration.
Here's an example of what the programming needs to do:
To check the availability of [login to view URL] follow these steps:
1. Connect to:
Address: [login to view URL]
Port: 43
2. Send the string '[login to view URL]\r\n' to the server
3. The server will respond with 'Not Available' and then close the connection.
Alternatively, the standard *nix whois command can be used as follows:
whois –h [server address] [domain name]
I need to monitor over 50,000 domains like this daily. So it must run through the list automatically every X hours and notify me by email if an 'Available' response is received and for which domain. I would also like to be able to specify how many requests to make before the program pauses, so as to not send too many requests per second that the Provider's server is affected.
PAYMENT: I'll pay up front depositing the funds into SL's escrow.
I suggest the funds be disbursed in three parts:
30% - when you show me a working demo on your server
40% - when the script is working on my server
30% - after the script runs smoothly for 48 hours on my server
Bonus - if you do a good job and this is completed in a timely manner
Questions, PLEASE ASK BEFORE BIDDING
Thank you for your consideration.
I have an excellent knowledge and 7+ years of experience PHP/MySQL development that is confirmed by brainbench test passing. I am new on ScriptLance, but have my experience outside of it. My normal rate is $25-30 per hour, but you should keep in mind that you pay this rate for TOP QUALITY AND HIGH SPEED development and you do not loose your money (and time) on tons of bug fixes and do not waste a time testing a bad-coded scripts. Check PMB for my detailed resume, please.
