We want to develop an interactive application for designing closets, pantry, garage organizers, kitchen cabinets, etc. We'd like to enable this application on a web site where our customers can do the following things: • Select a category (use a UI Carousel Control) by looking at a collection of pictures (category needs to be configurable) o See multiple samples in the selected category and be able to choose one, or o Can elect to create a custom design • Can enter measurements based on the selected room type and sample layout • Once measurements are entered, can recommend a design by default o User can further customize it with various options, accessories, and design units • Can choose to see the “real pictures” for each option / accessory • Can see the rendered overall design based on the selected options / accessories in 2D o 3D rendering is nice to have for Phase 1 • Can see the price changes / current prices based on options selected • Can save the current design in the existing account and retrieve an existing design • Can create a new account with an email account with password (using https) • Can see the list of materials needed and their costs • We also need to enable constant updates of the pictures, categories, prices, modules, etc. and their meta-data, via configuration xml files. For illustration purposes, the following web sites can be used as references: [login to view URL] We are open for suggestions of using various technologies but prefer Flash/Silverlight front-end support and asp.net. We don't need a database in the backend so please design using xml files. To apply, you need to meet the following requirements: - Experiences with Silverlight / Flash developments and web based 2D / 3D design applications - Abilities to demonstrate quality of code with unit tests / functional tests - Commitments to provide prompt responses for feature inquiries / clarification during development cycles In your cover letter, please provide details about: 1. What were your previous projects related to ours? 2. Your resumes and credentials 3. Your bids (cost, key milestones, timeline, and high level design proposal)
