Decompiling is straightforward assuming the binary is in MSIL (not native compiled), otherwise it's almost impossible. The vast majority of .NET code is compiled into MSIL though, so I don't think that will be the case here. Also how long this takes depends on what these "commands" to be retrieved are, and whether the code has been obfuscated or not. I've been using decompilation tools all my career to understand how some 3rd party libraries worked, so this seems right up my alley!
