I am looking for someone fluent in English to assist with foreign language projects. Typically the documents are sent to a translator and after the translation has been done YOU will be asked to look through the approximately 140 page document to make sure everything is in order. I have several of these projects, therefore if you do this project correctly I could ask you to work on other projects.
Projects are typically approximately 140 pages and it should take you no more than 3 days to read through and edit and give feedback on the 140 pages. You will also have to delete some parts of the document that are no longer necessary (delete the instructions etc.).
About the 140 page document
Most of the document is double spaced and written in times new roman size 12 font.
The margins are normal. The document consists of vocabulary words/phrases/sentences/examples etc.
Audio Portion of the project.
The 140 page document mentioned above will be recorded. You will be asked to listen to the audio and read the text to make sure that everything is in order.
Other duties include:
(at this point the 140 document is referred to as the “ebook”)
1. delete certain parts of the ebook (you'll be told which parts).
2. Read through the 140 page document to make sure that everything is in order. If there are any obvious errors point them out. If you think there is a question that needs answering once reading through the document the mention and point it out.
3. Make sure the translator completes the translation.
4. Point out anything that doesn't make sense. Example: if you see A, B, C, E listed as letters in the foreign alphabet then you should notice that “D” is missing and find point it out to the translator so that an explanation can be given why D is missing. Perhaps there is no D in that particular language or perhaps the translation simply forgot.
5. Make certain all words were translated.
6. Check the entire document for plagiarism.
7. Add a Table of Contents along with the page numbers.
8. Listen to the audio and make sure that what is in the audio matches what is in the ebook.
9. Make sure the ebook is appealing to the eye.
10. There may be some waiting in between while the translator, proofreader, audio person are working on the document.
11. Your duties could change depending on the project
If interested you should have:
Be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Needless to say I am looking for someone with a good work ethic who can sit and work towards completing this project. I don't want to have to stop too often. I would prefer that you work steadily until the project is complete. I don't have tolerance for excuses no matter how valid they are; excuses do not help meet deadlines.
If you are interested in this project, answer the following questions using a full sentence, or sentences, so that I know exactly what you are referring to.
1. How much will you charge for completing this project?
2. Let me know which day of the week and the hours you will work towards completing this project?
Don't "disappear" then "reappear" after being assigned the project.
3. Let me know what country you are from and what country you are currently living in.
4. Let me know how many people will work on this project. If one person will work on this project, will that one person be you?
5. Do you have a Resume? Send your Resume.
6. Do you have an English writing sample? If so, send it.
7. You will be required to sign a contract before you are hired for this project. Will that be a problem for you?
8. Why are you applying for this project?
9. Do you have something coming up or are you involved in something at the moment that requires you to take time off before or while working on this project?
10. You understand that in order to get paid you need to complete proofreading all pages and check the audio for all pages
[login to view URL] understand that before you are hired for this project you will be interviewed on Skype. It will be an audio interview so you need to have a microphone.
I do not pay upfront. I do not pay milestones. I do not pay a percentage. I pay when the project is complete.
If this project involves writing, do not plagiarize. Copyscape and other tools will be used to check ALL written work.
Please see the private email that I sent regarding the inquiries you had. I am a very diligent writer and proofreader. In fact, I even noticed errors in the responses made by other bidders. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I would be available evenings on weekdays to complete this and full days on weekends.
I am from England and I am living in England.

No problem signing a contract, protects both sides.
