Hi,
I need a piece of software which will, automatically "scrape" some information (text) from a webpage and store that text in a CSV file, which is stored on my server. It will run every 60 seconds, scraping the data and storing it in a CSV file.
This what the program needs to do:
- Every minute, the script will run automatically which looks at the webpage and gets 4 pieces of data from particular areas of that website.
- If the data was the same as the previous minute's data, it is discarded, no action.
- If that data is new, it is added to a new line/row in a CSV file.
- It then calculates how many minutes the previous data was on the website for and records that info in the CSV file too.
- It does that every minute of every day, automatically.
- At the end of every day, the CSV file will be emailed to me automatically. A new CSV file will then be created for the next day. (Each day's CSV file is stored on the web server).
The script is stored and runs from my web server. It runs automatically, all day, every day, without any human interaction.
