I have 2 sites that I want to updated to the latest versions of Joomla and Virtuemart. Also I like to add to both of them watermark option when I add a product to virtuemart. I have currently upgraded 5 joomla sites to 1.7. I have installed virtuamart to 1 site and currently maintain it. So as for upgrading that their shouldent be to much of a problem.
