Websphere, RAD: help with JSF datatable and pagecode

I need help with couple things related to JSF hx:dataTableEx and setting component properties in page code (code behind). I need 1) asap and for the rest we have a little bit of time. Request 1) should be an easy thing for anyone with relevant knowledge and experience. 2) and 3) can be done a bit later or split into a separate bid. Indicate what you can do and when in you comments or bid. This is for IBM's JSF library found in RAD 7. 1) Datatable with number of columns that are determened columns that are at runtime. Read only. If <hx:dataTableEx> is overkill for this and another component should be used I am fine wth this. I am curently have to send data in List (rows) containing array of strings (column values for each row). I do not number of culumns untill the list wioth arrtay was generated. I can swith to another data container to make things easier. 2) Table with editable fields. It can be extendsion of the above. 3) I am trying to add controls and set properties of JSF controls in pagecode at run time. This is similar to what one can do in LoadPage method in ASP.NET. How can I do the same in JSF? I am looking for this this approach as I need to set values for number of textboxes, labels, etc and do not want to go to database for each of them if I can fetch all values and do processing at once. Deliverable: workspace containing working sample code and pages which I can further customize to my needs.
