Our com_jce component is outdated and due to this the website got hacked. The site has been cleaned by Sucuri and is malware free, but our hosting company requires us to update the outdated com_jce component before the site will be [login to view URL] back online. We need a Joomla professional who is able to updated our com_jce component and plugin via ftp as the administration backend is not available. The latest version of com_jce has a different file structure to our current version, so simple uploading and overwriting of the existing files wont be enough. You need to understand the functionality of the component and place the package files.

I assume you are using Joomla! 1.5 (an old version of JCE had a file upload vulnerability). The easiest approach would be to isolate the selected file, have the host set the site online (they probably set unreadable permissions to your public_html directory) and then perform the update through Joomla! (this ensures a correct update). Or, we could just uninstall it and install the updated version - that is, if you don't care about current settings in JCE. PS: I'm currently employed at a company that develops extensions for Joomla!, including a security extension listed in the JED :)
