296682 Rotating Screensaver

Dear programmers. The following is in draft stage and I am very flexible at this time as to how the follwing concept could work. There is a company called [login to view URL] that has this type of software done already. My concept is different than [login to view URL] though. Here it is: I would like to create a rotating screensaver. The screensaver would eventually have 50 categories or more. The users should be able to download the initial screensaver software off the net or we could email it to them. If a person wants to have their website promoted at no cost to others members, they have to install the screensaver also. When they install the screensaver they will choose which category group they want their homepage to be seen. I am basically setting up an exchange program. Similar to a banner exchange program in many respects. The user should be able to choose which category of website homepages they want to see, and be able to switch out to a different category when they want. The category they choose to see others sites should not have to be the category their own site is being put in. The websites should rotate every 20 seconds. I am flexible if you believe that this timing will not work. I figure 20 seconds is enough time for dial up people to get the site loaded and view it before it rotates to the next homepage. Anymore than 20 seconds, may be too long for high speed owners to have to see a site. For every 20th member in a category my company would get 5 positions. I will either use them to promote my sites of sell off the positions. The user should be able to click on a link on a site that catches their eye and the link should work to bring them to subpages on that site. This is the basic concept and you are encouaged to add your thoughts to this. You may have some ideas that we have not explored yet. We would like to get the zip codes of all registrants so we may one day have the advertiser be able to request that its site only seen in particular zip/postal codes. We would have to have a high saturation of the market before doing something like this. I have given you more than enough to think about. Please quote on a job basis.
