Wordpress template modification for Slideshow/Gallery

Aim: The Wordpress site has a image in the header that displays a slideshow of images using Nextgen Gallery Plugin. Currently the header image shows 1 gallery for all pages. I want to assign different galleries for different pages. The issue is the gallery is part of the template. Existing plugin used: Nextgen Gallery NOTE: The site has a Shopping Kart that has been modified to use the Gallery. Product Categories already have a unique slideshow/gallery. The difference is the gallery is linked to a product category not a page. Currently When I create a new product category a gallery is created automatically for that product allowing me to have specific photos for a specific products. Effectively I want the same thing to happen with normal pages not just product Categories. If you need more information please don't hesitate to ask.
