USB microscope software

Background: I am working on a project which involves taking time-lapse images using USB microscopes (these are essentially the same as webcams). In order to reduce the time taken to acquire images I would like to be able to capture images from 3 different USB microscopes simultaneous on one PC. Problems: I have managed to connect two webcams simultaneously using third-party software such as ispy ([login to view URL]) and by running devices in separate virtual machines however the third camera will not remain stable. I do not know whether this is a bandwidth issue or an issue with conflicting drivers. Your help: First of all I would like you to help me identify the exact problem. Ideally I would like any basic software written that could acquire and capture 3 or more USB microscope feeds simultaneously – I am happy to work with any OS but ideally windows or linux. Alternatively I would be happy to receive any help that would allow me to do this using existing software. I don’t have a great deal of knowledge in this area so I would likely also require you to tell me what information you need me to send in order to work out any issues.
