please note: this project is not to build the final application. This project is to act as a co-planner in the refinement of the plans for the application. goal of final app: web app to match-up Point-of-Sale (POS) product data Need to create a online service that will allow a user to upload data from a POS system. The uploaded data will them be used to match-up products from the POS data with a database of products that we manage (STN DB) The online service will provide the user with a finished report showing the items that have been matched up. issues: - best platforms & programming approach - preplanning DB management - importing/export of data files - routines for dealing with massive data sets - deciding what to develop for phase 1, vs later on this project needs: - someone who has lots of hands-on experience dealing with large data sets. - can recommend good solutions and alert me to approaches that will cause troubles - someone who can review current routines together with me via web screen share - after completion of the planning, this will be turned into a full application development, but the project will be put out for bid again at that point. - I am anticipating approx 10 hrs for this planning
