MOXA ETHERNET SWITCH

General . This function specification describe the LAYER 2 and LAYER 3 Ethernet switches to provide data link via fiber optic cable .Layer 2 Ethernet switch will be provide for small substation e.g. package unit , ring main station and QRM and for GRID OR PRIMARY substation (Transit station) .the small substation are forming a ring structure through fiber cable and ring/loops will be close at the transit station .the transit station are access points to company X fiber optic network to route the data up to the x CONTROL system . Layer 3 Ethernet switch will be provided for the xxx center .all Ethernet switches can be managed and configured through a NMS Contractor has provided a MOXA switch EXAMPLES: Layer 2 switch : EDS-405A/408A SERIES SWITCH rial or rack mount EDS-408A-3S-SC-T PT-7728 SERIES SWITCH PT-7828 The questions are , 1- we would like to know MOXA switch is suitable to the power industry application . 2-What is the advantage and disadvantage of use it MOXA switch 3-What are the best solutions if we have a opportunity to select another switch 4- Provid me all the featires that we can utlized and useful for us What I ‘am looking for differentiate with other switches and recommendation form expertise people and a report ,please do not copy and past the specification from the company website , I need something well arranged and well explained , so we can advise the management either to buy this switch or not , if it is not what other switch you recommend , please price should be realistic and not beyond the MOXA price Report will be cost only $15.00 sinc it is only stright forward thing and all money will be relase once i check the report otherwise no money will be relase thanks
