Hello I have placed a modest bid as my rate for editing and proofreading any copy, be it a CV, resumé or a book, is $15.000/1,000 words. There is a tendency for those who work on an hourly basis to pad out their hours, whereas I prefer my clients to have a very clear idea of any costs from the onset. I only have 5* ratings for my proofreading work as I believe every error must be spotted and corrected. This I consider especially important in a CV as one single error can mean the difference between being offered an interview or not - it is a very competitive job market out there at the moment. I do a lot of CV editing, as well as company staff profiles and LinkedIn profiles. Although British, I have a clear understanding and knowledge of US English, having an unbeaten score of 98% for the top level 3 Exam as added reassurance for my North American clients. I do all work myself and as a consequence I am available 7 days a week and work in to the evenings, so that should overcome any problems with differing time zones.
