I'm a businessman from NYC, USA.
I need an assistant for 50$/day who will manage my calls (in English of course).
To do this you need:
- perfect spoken English (US, little or no accent)
- some knowledge in IT would be great
- the ability to convince people is a plus
- a headset with good microphone
About me.
I buy used iPhones, other cell phones, iPads from Craigslist and sell them abroad.
Usually I drive a lot (to pick up the phones from people).
By the time I get to the place with Wi-Fi to read fresh ads on Craigslist - someone already bought the items listed there.
That's why I need a person who will call sellers and answer their calls while I'm driving.
Job Description.
For every iPhone listed on NYC's Craigslist you'll do 3 steps:
1) Call a person that is selling it (through Skype)
2) Evaluate the item they're selling (condition, accessories etc) and give them my price
3) If they are Ok with the price - arrange the meeting
After that I'll drive to them to pick it up.
As soon as I pick it up - I'll pay you.
If you love to talk on the phone - everything else is very simple.
Looking for new ads can be automated (as simple as installing an add-on for Firefox to automatically reload Craigslist every 5 seconds).
Evaluation is automated too (I have a site where you'll see list of questions and evaluated price) - so you won't need to remember questions and prices.
Everything is very simple.
It's a good job at home, which can give you enough income not to look for any other job.
I've been doing this business for 3 or 4 years now - and I don't plan to quit, so you can be sure that this job will be very stable and reliable.
I've been doing calls myself all this time - so can assure you it's easy.
How many people I need?
As many as I can pick up during the day.
Plan to start from one assistant. If one is not enough - I'll hire a second one, etc.
Hours of work?
I usually work 7 days a week, 8 hours a day (9am - 5pm NYC time).
These are the hours you'll need to call people.
If you want to work just half a week, or only on weekend - that's fine.
As I said - I can hire several assistants if that's easier for you.
Payment?
5$ for evrey item you arrange.
I'm usually buying 10 phones a day. (each phone is about 20-40 mins of driving and talking to the client).
When you have a deal on the phone, and I pick up the item from seller - I'll pay you 5$ for every item.
5$ x 10 items = 50$/day.
That's 1500$/month (if you work every day) - or half of that if say you work half the week.
If you arrange 15-20 items a day and I pick them up - that's more money for you (just count x5$ )
How often do I pay?
Any convenient period: every day, every second day, every week etc.
We'll just keep track of how many deals you arranged and when payment time comes - I'll make a transfer.
We can agree to the period individually.
How do I pay?
Paypal, or Freelancer.com payment system
Do you have to buy yourself a Skype number?
No - I'll buy you unlimited US Skype number,
Do you need to buy a headset/microphone?
Yes - that's up to you.
Just imagine that after two days of work you get $100.
