Hi,
Please reference [login to view URL]
The guy who built this site messed it up really bad. It is not W3C compliant and breaks in all browers EXCEPT IE7.
Requirements:
1) You would just have to make it look and function the same.
a) use the same images
2) The current site has an existing CMS, which displays text via a separate php Include function. So the files must be saved as php files. You must reference the old files to obtain the correct php include file path. If you have questions abut this just ask. It is very basic php.
A) This is why all XHMTL files must be saved as .PHP
3) The maintextarea (main text box)and the rightsidetextarea (right side smaller text box)are dynamic and expand/contact vertically based on the amount of content added to it via the php include function. This feature must remain in tact. It uses 3 divs and easy to replicate. You can just cut and paste it as it appears to be compliant.
4) The original designer made the footer elements static (Terms of Use, Privacy policy, Contact Use, copyright notice and bottom border have a fixed position on the browers). He was supposed to have them "push" downward as the text area expanded downwards as more text is added via the CMS. However, IT DOES NOT. I have attached an document that illistrates the issue clearer.
5) The tabs are dynamic and if coded correctly it is compliant. The last guy did not impliment it correctly. see [login to view URL]
A) It is very important that the tabs use TEXT in case the tab text needs to be changed or updated.
B) All links should be text so that they can be easily edited.
6) Must be XHMTL and CSS..... ie tabless design
7) use PHP 5
This is kind of a small quick project as the design, images and functionality all exist. You just have to rebuilt it with compliant code so it works in all major browsers.
Once awarded, I will send you the existing files.
Thanks
Steve
I think it would be best to REBUILD THE ENTIRE SITE with compliant code.
Hi, thanks for letting me know you'd changed the project. New price reflects the change in scope of the project. I can start in about 10 hours from now (it's midnight in UK) after an early meeting if you accept my bid. Escrow required.
