On Friday, we migrated our Microsoft SQL Server 2008 r2 databases to Microsoft SQL Server 2016. Everything tested out fine, but when we actually moved everything over something is very not right. We are using Microsoft Access 2016 as a front end to the SQL backend data and now a lot of the functions that ran just fine are slow to the point of unusable. There were no indexes defined before and still aren't defined now and we aren't sure how to do that or even if that will help. All of our computers are 64 bit running on 64 bit Office. Some things still run just fine. Others do not. Obviously we had to redo our ODBC connections also so I don't know if those are wrong. There is another application APP-2, in PHP with MySQL DB (DB-2), hosted on Linux machine (Server - 2, IP - 2) APP-1, gets regular hits from client applications and there is 1 particular field in Table-1 which gets updated/changed over time (Field Name is "IP-Address" - ip of client). Now this particular field is also there in DB-2 (Table - 2) called "IP". There is code which manages this field in DB-1 and updates accordingly using Stored procedures. We want that as soon as Field-1 in Table-1 gets updated, simultaneously Field-1 in Table-2 also gets updated.
